Sing With Us
The Hymnal is communal singing made simple.
The community sings every day — at evening prayer at the Pillar, on Sunday morning, at the Hymnal's live sessions when households join in from wherever they are. The library is the Church's old songs sung loud, plus a small set of new ones that pass the four marks. Below is a sample.
A few hymns from the library
Be Thou My Vision
Holy, Holy, Holy
Scripture: Revelation 4:8
A Mighty Fortress Is Our God
Scripture: Psalm 46
Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing
All Creatures of Our God and King
Crown Him with Many Crowns
How Great Thou Art
It Is Well with My Soul
When I Survey the Wondrous Cross
Old Hundredth (Doxology)
Scripture: Psalm 100
Coming soon: a searchable library of every hymn the community sings, with
lyrics, tunes, scripture references, and the date each was last sung. The list above is
hand-curated for now and becomes editor-managed when admin-content-editor-chirho ships.
Upcoming live sessions
Twice a month, the community holds a live-sing session: a hymn or two over the simplest possible streaming connection, with the lyrics on screen and a small group of voices on the other end. Households join in from kitchens and porches; nobody listens alone unless they want to. Contact us if you want to receive the calendar.
Live sessions
The live-sync backend is in Phase E. Once it ships, the next 4–6 sessions will appear here automatically with hymn, time, and a join link.
How the Hymnal will work
- The community announces a hymn at evening prayer.
- The Hymnal pushes the lyrics + the tune to every Hymnal endpoint that has opted in (a small wooden device, or a phone, or any browser).
- Households at home see the lyrics in time with the singing in the chapel.
- Anyone who wants to lift a voice does. Nobody has to.
No livestream of faces. No comment box. Just the words and the tune and the singing. We will publish the privacy story for the Hymnal endpoint on its product page when it ships.
